Oh what a great day this was! We celebrated Valentine's Day on Friday because Josh worked the rest of the weekend. This is how our celebration turned out:
-We exchanged V-Day gifts. Josh gave me three red roses, 2 shirts to turn me into a "U" fan. I am dead set on not turning into one, but I am more drawn to red than blue. What does that really mean? :) He also gave me a heart necklace. Absolutely darling! I gave him a bowl FULL of red things. Anything from red silly puddy to Swedish Fish. There were red pens, a nerf basketball hoop and ball, finger bowling pins and ball to play on the table, bouncy balls and much more. This also included a red Max Hall Hates Me t-shirt. If that makes no sense to you and you are not from Utah, don't worry. I was educated quickly on why we hate Max Hall as much as he hates us...it's a funny story. Go look it up.
--With Josh in his red Max Hall Hates Me t-shirt and me in a red "I love U" shirt, we were ready for anything. We ate sushi and got a lot of support from other customers on our shirts. The waitress was the greatest. Before offering drinks, she came up and said "Aaaaawwww, you guys are so cute!!" I laughed for awhile about her expression!
---We went to see Percy Jackson and the Olympians:Thief of the Thunderbolt. It was a cute movie.
What a fun night.

Hahahahaha!! I didn't even know they MADE Max Hall Hates Me Shirts! I'll have to show Ryan! :) (In my opinion, Max Hall WAS way out of line...but I've been born and bred BYU Blue...so I can't HATE him!) lol But you know...it is perfectly possible to love Blue and Red! My mom went to both schools--so she's rooted for both her whole life! :) (It's easier when you didn't go to EITHER school too!) :) haha
And your Day trip looks like it was so fun! I've lived in Utah the majority of my life and I haven't been to either of those places! You should go back to the AFB and take more pictures later so that we can see the difference! Does it REALLY change EVERY week?!?!? :)
Love you!
Ooops. Now I feel silly... I wrote the comment on your earlier post before reading this one. Thanks for the pic of the red shirt! Disregard the previous request for red shirt pics.
Remind me what the Max Hill joke is about...?
What fun Valentine gifts. Did mind being called "cute?" (lol)
Max Hall is the quarter back for BYU. He expressed his opinion rather rudely regarding the U, the school, the fans and many other things. It was in poor taste-saying the U fans have no class and the school is terrible etc. He was opinionated when he should have kept his opinion to himself or at least expressed it at a time other than an interview. Either way, that statement made a lot of people a lot of money. There are now t shirts, baby clothes, hats, ties, wrist bands, etc. It's funny though. When people don't like him, the wear Max Hall Hates Me stuff. The part that bothers a lot of people is that the quarter back represents BYU and in essence the church at times. Some say BYU should have made a statement saying that is not the opinion of the school as a whole or the church either. Either way, it's been funny to watch everyone's reaction.
I think it's so funny you gave him a "Max Hall hates me!" shirt! ha ha Max Hall was way out of line saying what he did and I GO to BYU. Lol! Looks like a fun Valentine's Day and an awesome Day trip! And P.S. I haven't even heard details about this Josh boy! he he...just been reading posts about him! You need to update me! (I am so out of the loop down here in Provo!)
Love you! Glad you are so happy!
