Fifth Grade Foresight

One of my brightest students came to me the other day and said "Miss Christensen, we are prejudice even in school!" (This is a kid who tells intelligent jokes and makes connections most his age wouldn't...) I responded, "What makes you say that?" With a look in his eye I have seen many times before he gets to a punch line he said "We used to have black boards, now we have white boards!" I couldn't help but laugh, I never thought of that before!
